Andrea-
Just wanted to let you know Quincy is doing great! We are having some lunging
lessons daily before our rides. He's settling in to the new farm very nicely. I
couldn't be happier with him!

Hi Andrea- He is a frozen horsicle standing in the pasture! I think he has settled
in here. He hasn't jumped out lately and doesn't have any new bite or kick
marks. He did drop a bit of weight so we'll work to get it back on him. I was
proud of him at our first session with the dressage trainer. He worked hard and
did a nice job. I'll attach a pic of him on Christmas Eve dressed and waiting for
Santa. He makes a regal reindeer.
Don't freeze! Have a nice weekend!

Hi Andrea,
I bought Midas from you in July of 2009. It was the best decision that I have
ever made, I love him so much. He is young, but so well behaved. After I
bought Midas, I immediately started taking him to lessons with my instructor
and he has been handling it like a pro. I recently have attended a couple of
clinics with Lientjie Schuler and he was a perfect gentleman. He tries so
hard to do the right thing. I really appreciate your honesty on his mounting
issues, although they weren't bad and you basicly had it fixed by the time I
bought him. Some people would have never mentioned it, but you did.
I remember telling you what I wanted in a horse (gelding, between 15 and
16 hands, easy to sit and good enough to show up to third level (one day))
and you e-mailed me and said, "I think I found your next horse." I went out
and rode him and was in love! He passed his prepurchase with flying
colors!
He is such a flashy mover! All of my friends who meet him instantly fall in
love! You knew exactly what I wanted in a horse and found him for me!
Midas is really going well and getting stronger everyday. He is so much fun
to ride. He is perfect. My trainer even commented just the week how
perfect Midas is for me. I am so excited about showing him in the very near
future!
Thank you for finding me Midas!

Trigger is quiet, honest with a great work ethic and sweet disposition. His
gates are comfortable and he even makes me look like a sesoned rider! He is
everything I wanted in a dressage horse. Thanks again Andrea!

Hey, Andrea; I assume this is you! Zipper is doing well. We've
ridden him in between the cold snaps! I finally got on him for the
first time today; I had surgery in Dec. so wasn't able until now. He is
doing very well here. I hope all is well with you-take care-Kate

I love Silver Bell!!!!! I renamed him Remington Steele because he is
such a pretty dapple gray. He has really come along nicely, and
you were right about how easy going and gentle he was. He does
whatever I ask, tries his best, is very calm, and he has such a
pleasant personality truly an unusual Thoroughbred! And, he has
grown! I think he’s a full 16.2 now and we’re doing a ton of trail
riding in the neighborhood, we have 10 miles of trails, we’re riding
almost every day. He has settled in with the stable/turnout routine,
he gets along with every single horse in the pasture and
everywhere we ride I get stopped ad get a compliment on how nice
he is. I think he eats it up! My 11 year old daughter rides him
bareback to and from the pasture and calls him the giant
unicorn!!!
I will send you pictures when I get some, we’re too busy riding!!!

Romeo was a bit nervous about that white rail around the bottom of the
fence line…he was looking at it. It took Jessie a while to get collected but
they ended well. I wasn’t there but I was told she and Romeo did great. He’
s been a wonderful confidence builder for Jessie…very eager to please.

Hello Andrea,
just wanted to let you know how wonderful Destrier (now known as
Romeo) has been. He is so wonderful to ride and as promised, is always
a perfect gentleman. Jessie is riding a lot and you can see her
confidence build with each ride. It's a perfect match!

Andrea,
Went to Verne Batchelder clinic. He LOVED him. Was very surprised at his gaits. He told me
I bought a good horse and that we would do well together.
If you go to Kate's website, www.sunchaserequestrian.com I think there is a champion
picture of him and Madison, who did walk /trot on him. She only rode him once prior to the
show.
I will attach a picture from the clinic and once I get the one from the NC show, I will send it to
you.
Thanks again. We are on our way to showing dressage again!!!

Andrea,
Just sending you a little update on Trevor. First, congratulations, I just read the
newsletter. I am not very good about talking about myself, so
here goes.
We took Trevor to the NC State Fair Open show just to see how he would react. The
classes were actually small, 10 in his. They changed the
show schedule so we missed the first class, arrived, took him off, saddled him up and off
Kate went first. She won the class!!
I had time to warm up, found I needed a spur for canter. Did my yoga breathing, I think
wearing my contacts which made everyone blurry helped.
Just planned on not making a fool of myself as I have not showed hunt seat in 30+ years
and we won !! I was in shock.
Thanks. He is grumpy with food and threatens a little when taking the blanket off, but
other than that he seems happy here and I am happy with him.
Plan, to work on flexing and bending better, leg yields. Next show will be a dressage show.
Diane and Trevor ( we are trying to think of a fancy show name)
